“Great range of drinks at reasonable prices. Lovely atmosphere and the log fires add a touch of cosiness. In regard to food, the meal options were limited but this is understandable with the festive break, one diner went through three main course options before he chose one which was available. We won't let that taint the experience, we will be back! Service was great and attentive, even going so far as to provide a sticking plaster for a guest who cut their thumb! Faultless!”

“Highly appreciated the phone call a few hours prior to our 4.30pm dinner booking we had made online to say the kitchen was closed 3-5.30pm. It was quick and no hassle for the pub to rebook us for 5.30pm. This was our 2nd visit. Fantastic food (high quality, hot, generous portions). Fantastic, friendly, prompt service for both drinks and food to the table. Couldn't fault it.”

“Order taken and we were told after it was a 30 minute wait. Food was dry a d disappointing in quality. Saw the waitress twice when she took the order and delivered food. We sat for 15 mins without a drink. Then couldn't find a waitress to pay at the end. Overall really disappointing.”

“We came as a group. It was a nice meal, and the serving was good too. One of our guest was poorly and could not join in. We understand that the rule is not to have a refund as it was last minute, however the food was never brought on the table neither, and the person later said he wanted his food to be shared (or could have offered a plate of bread for all to share instead). This was the only thing that was a little bit disappointing.”
